Our Forward Outlook

BHN enters the coming year with renewed focus. Building on the lessons of our inaugural Strategic Plan, we have streamlined our work into six clear Strategic Priorities that will guide us through to June 2026. These priorities reflect our commitment to sustainability, measurable impact, and listening to the communities we serve.

Our Six Strategic Priorities

1

Target Operating Model

We are redesigning our structures and systems to ensure BHN is sustainable, efficient, and ready for future reforms.

2

Technology and Data

By strengthening cybersecurity and modernising digital systems, we are enabling secure, reliable, and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

3

One Client Experience

We are creating a consistent and seamless journey for clients and community, with clearer pathways, stronger feedback loops, and improved service access.

4

Workforce

Our people are our most important resource. We are investing in leadership, capability, and culture to build an engaged, inclusive and high-performing workforce.

5

Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

We are embedding cultural safety across BHN starting with our first Reconciliation Action Plan, strengthening relationships and ensuring the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are central to our work.

6

Environmental Sustainability

We are taking action to reduce our environmental footprint, with a roadmap that sets clear targets for a more sustainable future.
